Constituent Services Director
Cristy Calderon is a proud daughter of Mexican immigrants from Durango,Mexico and lifelong resident of Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood. Deeply rooted in her community, Cristy has dedicated her career to empowering others through education, public service, and nonprofit work.
She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from East West University. Her professional journey began in language education, teaching English and Spanish to adults and teens, where she saw firsthand how access to language can open doors to opportunity.
Cristy later joined The Foundation of Little Village, supporting local entrepreneurs—many of them women and home-based business owners—by providing tools in financial and business literacy. She currently serves as the Constituent Services Director for the 22nd Ward, where she helps residents navigate city and state services, ensuring government is accessible, responsive, and delivered in the languages her neighbors speak.
A first-generation college graduate, Cristy is committed to building trust and fostering equity in underserved communities. Outside of her public service work, she has also pursued her creative passions, appearing in local plays and modeling projects.
Cristy continues to use her voice and platform to advocate for representation, opportunity, and community-driven change in Little Village and beyond.
